Halloween

For Halloween, my roommates and I decided to dress up as Moulin Rouge girls! Here was our inspiration.

Here's how it turned out...

So fun! We ended up going to a bar for a little while and then we split up after a bit and went to different parties and places. It was definitely one of the most fun Halloween nights I've ever had!

Gardiner Village

A couple weeks ago I took Jaida to Gardiner Village and she had a blast! She loves feeding the ducks but I took her to the Petting zoo this time and to ride the ponies and she had so much fun!

Drama-rama!!

So these past couple of weeks I have been out on a bunch of dates. Met a lot of different guys. Most of them were losers of course... but there were a couple that I started to like.

BUT. Of course, they've let me down. One of them is just completely unreliable and never showed up when he said he would. The other one, who I really fell for, used the whole "It's not you, it's me" spill. Needless to say, I've been a little busy and nothing has even come to show for it!! Boys drive me crazy. Definitely taking a break from the dating world until something worthwhile comes along!

Other than that, I've really just been getting used to living on my own and with roommates and I am loving it!! I love the freedom that I have. I love coming home and just hanging out with girls my own age. Not that I don't love my parents.... :) So life is pretty good. Stressful with the boy situation but it's all good. I promise I will update soon with more fun stuff. Pictures too!!

Fourth of July weekend

Well I am all moved in, and I've spent a few nights at my new house. It's pretty cool! I like having roommates, and I like being more independent. I can tell it's going to be a good thing.

And now to the fun part of the post. The Stadium of Fire! Janice and I left my house around 3 or 3:30 even though we knew the show didn't start til 8. We were sure there was going to be traffic and trouble finding parking and all that. So we were a little early to the stadium, but we found our seats and we were so excited!!

Awesome seats, right?! We were row 23.

See how excited and dorky we were? :)

Okay, so we take our seats and then one of the Stadium workers comes over to introduce himself as Chris, and tells us if we need anything at all, let him know. And now for the rules (WHAT....). He tells us not to leave our seats in the middle of the show, and tells us to not stand up, but if we have to, watch our heads because the camera crane is directly above us. We were pretty bummed because we were hoping to run up to the stage once the show started!

Well, the show starts, SheDaisy comes on, and Glenn Beck, and the dancers, and all that fun stuff. I liked SheDaisy, they were cute. But then the Jonas Brothers started and immediately a bunch of girls ran to the stage. I looked at Janice and said "Let's go!!" So we did! We left all our stuff there, thinking that they'd just tell us to back to our seats anyway. But they didn't! They gave up trying to make all the 14 year old Jonas fans leave, so Janice ran and got our bags and came back and this is how close we ended up...

How crazy is that? We were so shocked that they let us stay there the entire time but it was such a fun show. I felt like I was 13 again. And the fireworks were SO cool!! I was literally looking straight up into the sky to watch them. It was insane. The ashes were falling on us, and we were covered by the end. I actually got burned by one of them that was still lit when it landed on my arm! Ouch!

Oh, on the way out, I saw this girl taking a picture of a sign that said "Jonas Brothers Dressing Room" on a door. Well.... I thought it would be really funny to take it, so I did. I am going to put it on my bedroom door... I'll take a picture and post it later. :)

Busy busy

This week has been so busy for me! I am in the process of moving ... but since I just barely found out on Monday that I was moving, and worked every day since, I haven't had time to pack anything! We moved my bed and my nightstand last night, and that took a lot of work since I have a huge bed. I also moved one huge box of just shoes! My dad and brother moved my two dressers today. I still have all my clothes in my closet and all the random stuff in my room to pack tonight and get it moved there as soon as I can. It's just hard when I work all day, I just want to go home and chill out! But I've already paid rent for July so all my money's just sitting around doing nothing so that is my motivation!

What a pointless blog.... I still haven't had time to update it with fun pictures or anything at home. I will hopefully have some fun stories and things tomorrow because I am going to the Stadium of Fire to see the Jonas Brothers and all the freakin amazing fireworks!!! Awesome. Okay done with the boring post. :)

New beginnings

So I am officially moving out of my parents' house beginning tomorrow! I have so many things running through my mind. I'm excited to finally be gaining my own independence. I'm nervous to have to budget a lot tighter and not be able to spend as much on random stuff all the time. I'm relieved to have finally found a place to move into that isn't expensive, far from work, or far from my parents. I'm sad to be leaving my parents house, but it'll definitely be a growing up experience.

I lived away from home when I was in New York for a year and a half, but I didn't have to pay rent or for food, and I did have to answer to an adult in a way. I couldn't just leave the house or come home whenever I wanted to. Sure, it's not like I'm going to go out and party now that I am out of mom and dad's, because I still have a job that I have to get up for at 6:45 every morning! But it will just be nice to not have them worry so much if I don't get home on those times where I am out a little later than normal! I understand it comes naturally to parents to worry, but at the same time, I've never given them a reason to worry! It gets to be a little frustrating at times.

So I'm not moving all in one day, I have to go over to the house tonight and sort of survey the room and see how much stuff I can fit into it! Then tomorrow I'll start bringing stuff over there and over the course of a few days or a week I'll get it all settled! It's only 10 minutes from my house but I do have a lot of stuff to move!

Anyways, this was longer than I intended and it's probably not the most interesting thing for you all to read but I like kind of getting all my thoughts out for once! :) I promise that once I have the time I'll update this with some fun pictures and things.

Hi there!

Welcome to my blog. I don't really have much to say, but I figured I'd start one of these anyway! I guess I'll start with the most recent "news" in my life. I may be moving out of my parents' soon. Soon as in next week! I am excited to see if things will work out. It'll be hard to not have that extra money but it will be fun to meet some new people and be out on my own for real this time, not partially independent like I was when I worked/lived in New York. So we'll see how it goes! Cross your fingers for me. Til next time...
